IT leadership due to Sam Foti

One of the reasons The MONY Group Inc. Achieved industry leader status so quickly (compared with competitors) was because of the far sighted vision of Sam Foti. When it became clear that the Internet was going to revolutionize the world as we know it – the way business is done as we  know it – market innovators like Samuel J. Foti took the lead to venture forth into the unknown. He spearheaded The MONY Group’s Internet strategy, incorporating it into the supply chain.

As at the time, few – if any – competitors had started looking at Enterprise Resource Planning, database management systems for their retail brokerage services and locating and communicating with geographically removed, but potential quality suppliers.

The visionary, confident and charismatic leadership of  Samuel Foti , enabled The MONY Group to quickly change the schema of the larger industry. With their feet planted firmly in new systems and technologies of doing business, MONY got ample time to familiarize their human resources with new, efficient processes, and to further fine tune any glitches that arose along the way. This was during the time when other industry players were scrambling to develop similar systems after realizing MONY had already done so. This gave a kick start to MONY and business was palpably better in volumes.

Integrated Conveyor Systems

The basic function of a conveyor is transportation of packages from one place to another required place. The main factors to be considered while selecting the conveyor type are the speed and power costs of the conveyor.

Depending upon the requirements of the particular organization, conveyor manufacturers sometimes design a system that is a combination of two or more conveyor systems. It is termed as integrated conveyor system

For example, a conveyor system can have a combination of tray and belt conveyors. Tray conveyors are just like conveyor belts. But they have straight rectangular trays ideal for assembly line or production applications where a flat carrying surface is desired. The Belt can get damaged because of the nature of the products transmitted as belt is of rubber. For example transporting, assembling, conveying hot oil parts, or conveying parts through heat drying processes. The trays are higher than the side frames allowing accessibility to load or unload from both sides and thus pallets can also be easily loaded or unloaded from the sides with a forklift.

Airport baggage handling systems are one such example that uses a combination of tray conveyors and conveyor belts.

Industry is the backbone of any economy and for the boom of manufacturing and distributing concerns conveyor systems are of the utmost importance.

Teamwork Workshops and Motivation

Motivation is a concept that needs to be taken very seriously by top management of every organization, because without motivation employees will not be as productive as they could be. Motivation is the means by which extraordinary things will be accomplished for the organization. Motivation can come from intrinsic rewards and can also be generated from extrinsic rewards.

Teamwork workshops can be used to increase the motivation of a team. If you want your team to do well then you must motivate the team in different ways, and a teamwork seminar is a very effective way to get team members motivated.  Teamwork and motivation are interrelated, as in a team all the members need to be motivated to complete the tasks assigned by the organization. The following are some of the ways through which a team can be motivated to perform well:

·    Performance appraisal system is a technique for motivating team members so that they will perform better than ever.

·    Commission structure on the completion of tasks can be a great source of motivation for a team.

·    Safety measures are another way of motivating team members.

Team building training is a great way to motivate as well as educate team members, but this is by no means the only way organizations can motivate its employees.
