Integrated Conveyor Systems

The basic function of a conveyor is transportation of packages from one place to another required place. The main factors to be considered while selecting the conveyor type are the speed and power costs of the conveyor.

Depending upon the requirements of the particular organization, conveyor manufacturers sometimes design a system that is a combination of two or more conveyor systems. It is termed as integrated conveyor system

For example, a conveyor system can have a combination of tray and belt conveyors. Tray conveyors are just like conveyor belts. But they have straight rectangular trays ideal for assembly line or production applications where a flat carrying surface is desired. The Belt can get damaged because of the nature of the products transmitted as belt is of rubber. For example transporting, assembling, conveying hot oil parts, or conveying parts through heat drying processes. The trays are higher than the side frames allowing accessibility to load or unload from both sides and thus pallets can also be easily loaded or unloaded from the sides with a forklift.

Airport baggage handling systems are one such example that uses a combination of tray conveyors and conveyor belts.

Industry is the backbone of any economy and for the boom of manufacturing and distributing concerns conveyor systems are of the utmost importance.
