As at the time, few – if any – competitors had started looking at Enterprise Resource Planning, database management systems for their retail brokerage services and locating and communicating with geographically removed, but potential quality suppliers.

With their feet planted firmly in new systems and technologies of doing business, MONY got ample time to familiarize their human resources with new, efficient processes, and to further fine tune any glitches that arose along the way. This was during the time when other industry players were scrambling to develop similar systems after realizing MONY had already done so. This gave a kick start to MONY and business was palpably better in volumes.
